Dermatology Medical Assistant

We are willing to train the right person.
Experience is helpful but not necessary.
We are interested in applicants who would like to work directly with patients.
Must be friendly and have a passion for caring for people.
We're a small office with two physicians, four amazing medical assistants and one virtual employee in Portland.
The position will involve working both in the front and back office.
We all work as a team to care for patients.
You will be expected to perform all tasks in the office related to patient care.
This includes everything from answering phones to assisting with surgery.
If you prefer to mainly work at the front and work more as a medical office receptionist this is also a possibility.
Our office specializes in medical and surgical dermatology.
We do not do any cosmetic procedures.
Back office responsibilities including rooming patients, taking brief histories, scribing for physician, setting up for procedures, autoclaving instruments, and assisting in dermatologic surgeries.
The position will involve working with blood so the position is not for the faint of heart.
Front office duties include answering telephones, scheduling patients, checking insurance, and data entry.
Applicants should be comfortable working with computers since our office uses an electronic medical record system.
The EMR system we use is eClinicalWorks.
Position can be either full-time or part-time.
Our busiest days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday so it is preferred that candidates be able to work these days.

Our office is next to Saddleback Hospital and the Laguna Hills Mall.
Candidates must have reliable transportation.
