The Communications Specialist is responsible for content creation and editing for OC REALTOR magazine and assisting with content creation across various platforms for print and digital collateral.
KEY
Responsibilities:
OC REALTOR Magazine Assist with the generation of ideas for issue themes, articles, and content for the magazine.
Conduct research and write intelligently on a variety of topics.
Write additional magazine content such as descriptive captions, cover type, and table of contents.
Assist members or staff with writing, as needed, and editing for grammar and style.
Keep abreast of real estate industry news, especially within Orange County, and OC REALTORS -related events and member announcements.
Manage time properly in order to meet print deadlines as set by supervisor.
Communications Write compelling content for marketing emails, social media posts, promotional brochures, and video scripts.
Write, design, and execute targeted drip email campaigns.
Assist with writing persuasive class descriptions for educational offerings.
Maintain website blog by writing regular news entries and updating member announcements, industry news, and partner events.
Assist with miscellaneous writing assignments as provided by supervisor.
Assist with conducting research, surveys, and focus groups to determine member needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to write clear, engaging, and compelling copy in a variety of styles appropriate for various target audiences.
Strong attention to detail with experience with copy editing.
Experience with email marketing software preferred.
Knowledge of organized real estate and the role of the trade association preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor in dealing with members.
Ability to produce and meet timeline, schedule, milestones.
Ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion.
Ability to work cooperatively with team members.
Adaptable, respectful, problem solving, innovative, and judicious.
Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and database management.
Understanding of social media platforms.
