Product Manager Assistant
Assistant Product Marketing Manager Smead x U-BRANDS Come join our team, we are growing! The Assistant Product Marketing Manager works collaboratively to develop new products that fit within the portfolio.
They will support the management of the portfolio, from inception through end of life.
This individual will contribute to new product ideation and innovation, manufacturing specification, sourcing, costing, and marketing strategies and commercialization.
They will work with a cross-functional team of sales, design engineers, and manufacturing sites bringing new product and innovations to life.
This position is responsible to ensure all quality standards are met, on time execution within budget and look for expansion opportunities into white space.
This is a Hybrid role, working 3 days a week in our Laguna Hills, CA office and 2 days a week remote.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist in managing multiple projects, products, and initiatives while maintaining prioritization and staying on time and budget.
Support product development and manage research initiatives to establish fact-based business and marketing strategy development.
Develop understanding of market, channel and/or customer dynamics, product design, trends, and enduser preferences and purchase drivers.
Source, quote, and provide costing analysis of new development with factory partners out of Asia.
Coordinate product design, development, and production and maintain the product development road map, working under the direction of the Senior Product Manager to develop requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, collecting, and analyzing market data, trends, customer attitudes and behaviors as well as the competitive landscape.
Support all product documentation process including mix management, product details, costing and product life cycle.
Coordinate meeting materials for customer product collaboration and business reviews.
Includes but not limited to product samples, display materials, labels, research results and the printed presentation.
Work on special assignments as they arise.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and have a high attention to detail.
High energy, positive attitude, and process oriented consistently looking for opportunities to improve processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Education and Experience.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university is required.
Minimum 2 - 4 years of product management or relevant experience.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Physical Requirements and Work Environment This is largely a sedentary role.
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
